Armed Forces Day in Uckfield
Uckfield Armed Forces Day was held at the Luxford Field on Saturday. There were old military vehicles on display, side shows, a tug-of-war contest and dancing from Debs Dances.
Our picture above shows the Shrapnells Battery a group of artillery enthusiasts who present a picture of 18th century life in the Royal Artillery.
Below Holy Cross Church rector, the Rev Brian Wilcox, can be seen waving from one of the army vehicles and members of the Uckfield Rugby Football Club are in action during the tug-of-war and then posing for a picture as contest winners.
