Children watch as historic charter is signed in Uckfield
Children from Uckfield primary schools joined celebrations as an historic twinning charter was signed in town on Saturday.
The signing sealed a new partnership between Uckfield and the French town of Arques-la-Bataille.
The charter was signed by the Mayor of Uckfield Cllr John Carvey,the deputy Mayor of Arques Marline Fournier, chairman of Uckfield Twinning Association David Sudbery and a representative of the French Twinning Association Laurence Tassus.

Also taking part in celebrations were the Ashdown Singers, Uckfield Concert Brass and Debs Dancers.
