East Hoathly remembers war dead at bonfire and carnival event

East Hoathly remembers war dead at bonfire and carnival event

Lest We Forget is the motto of the East Hoathly and Halland Carnival Society and at the weekend they held their annual remembrance torch-lit parades, bonfire and firework display.

The bonfire was sculpted, by Keith Pettit, in the form of a galleon being attacked by a mythical sea monster. Keith blogged about the project as it progressed. Read his story and see the pictures here.

Thanks to Jim Holden who took these pictures in East Hoathly on Saturday night.
