Uckfield Macmillan Cancer fashion show raises £1,650
The 100th birthday of Macmillan Cancer Support was celebrated by the Uckfield committee with its first fashion show at Buxted Park Hotel.
It raised £1650.
Darcey Sussex Boutiques from Lewes and Heathfield supplied the models, clothes and accessories which included a full range of outfits and covered a large age range.
Emma Taylor, the owner was delighted with the interest shown for her fashions which Lorna Edwell, Shirley Skilton and Karen Dixon modelled for everyone.
The guests arrived to a variety of stalls selling goods related to fashion before sitting down in the ballroom for lunch.
Buxted Park Hotel also supplied their pianist to play softly during the meal. All guests received a 'goody' bag containing cosmetics and information.
Many generous donations were received for the raffle.

Pictured by Ron Hill are Ann Press (chairman of MCS) with vice-chairman Jacky Bennett and committee member Maureen Macve along with Darcey's owner Emma Taylor and her models Lorna Edwell, Shirley Skilton and Karen Dixon.
