Volunteers trim growth around historic Uckfield lime trees
Volunteers were in action in Lime Tree Avenue, Uckfield, on Saturday helping to trim undergrowth around historic trees.
Members of Lime Aid used loppers, shears and 'jungle cutters' to cut the epicormic growth from the base of the lime trees. This helps rejuvenate them and keep them healthy.
Litter was collected and growth over the footpath trimmed back too.

Thanks to Ron Hill for the photograph. Lime Aid chairman Dr Martyn Stenning is pictured second left.
